Scheveningen is one of the most popular places on the Dutch coast. You can have a pleasant stay all the year-round. Besides the wide sandy beach and the cozy new boulevard, Scheveningen offers some extraordinary attractions and sights. Stop by the renovated Pier, the cinema, or the indoor shopping center Palace Promenade.

Lovers of culture can spend their day at one of the various museums and theatres. For example: The Circustheatre, Museum Beelden aan Zee, and Panorama Mesdag, where they exhibit the biggest painting of Holland. For families with children, there are also enough fun places to visit. like Sea Life, a bowling alley, or a glow-in-the-dark midget golf.

This coast offers a great variety of restaurants and beach clubs. Scheveningen has over 130 different eateries and is the perfect place to enjoy some nice fresh fish.

All year round spectacular events are organized in this area. The best-visited event is the International Fireworks Festival that takes place twice a year. It attracts hundreds and thousands of people from home and abroad. Since 2008 Red Bull organizes the Red Bull Knock Out, an international motorcycle race where athletes compete at one of the most extreme motor circuits in the world. Sporty people and recreationists can indulge at the beach, the many parks and nature reserves. The Westduinpark and Wapendal are part of a network of protected nature reserves in Europe. In this dune area, hikers and bikers can experience the ever-changing landscapes and views. In short, for visitors who would like to do more than just the regular sunbathing, there are plenty of options.
